Mornings are busy:
everyone leaving at the same time
for work and school
expecting the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a few left behind who decide
enough is enough
it\u2019s time to rest
it\u2019s time to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And for the rest of us
the Sabbath is retirement:
We can look back over six days
and have a thought maybe it\u2019s time to change<\/p>\n\n\n\n
not knowing when or whether to make the change
and risk incredible growth
for food in the mouth
and electricity in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So when two parents manage
to move a family of seven children
out the door to school
this is a miracle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With deep relief they watch
their children dash into school:
an immortal goodbye,
an ecstatic silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why in the first place did we expect easy victory?
Beginnings are hard, and He waits for our miracle.
